Polycarbonate Solid Sheet, commonly known as PC solid sheet or unbreakable glass, is a high-performance thermoplastic engineering plastic sheet manufactured from virgin polycarbonate resin through extrusion process. It features a solid monolithic structure, distinguishing it from multiwall hollow polycarbonate panels, and delivers exceptional strength, transparency, weatherability and processability. As a safe, durable and versatile alternative to glass, acrylic and traditional glazing materials, it is widely applied in construction, transportation, security, electronics, machinery and green energy sectors, becoming an essential material for modern design and engineering solutions.

PC solid sheet is globally recognized as one of the toughest transparent materials. Its impact strength is 250–300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of acrylic sheet and 2–20 times that of tempered glass. It does not shatter or crack under heavy impact, falling, hammering or hail strike, earning the reputation of “unbreakable glass” and “steel ring”.

Clear polycarbonate solid sheet offers a light transmittance up to 89%, close to float glass, with clear vision and no color distortion. UV‑coated versions maintain high transparency while blocking ultraviolet rays, preventing yellowing and aging. Colored and frosted options provide customized light transmission and privacy effects.

Stable performance in a wide temperature range from -40°C to 120°C, no deformation, softening or embrittlement under extreme outdoor heat or cold. Most products are co‑extruded with a protective UV layer on one or both sides, effectively blocking 99% of harmful UV radiation, resisting yellowing, fading and embrittlement for long‑term outdoor use.

Only about half the weight of glass with equivalent thickness, greatly reducing load on supporting structures, lowering transportation and installation costs, and simplifying on‑site construction. It can be cut, drilled, milled, cold‑bent and thermoformed without special equipment, enabling curved and custom shapes.

Self‑extinguishing material, generally reaching flame retardant grade UL94 V‑2/V‑0 depending on formulation. It does not produce molten droplets or release toxic fumes when exposed to fire, complying with building and transportation safety standards.

Good sound absorption and insulation performance, effectively reducing noise transmission. Low thermal expansion coefficient, high dimensional stability, minimal warpage or deformation under temperature changes, suitable for precision applications.

Non‑toxic, RoHS compliant, recyclable and environmentally friendly. With proper UV protection, service life can reach 10–15 years or longer, reducing replacement frequency and maintenance cost.
